Where I Got My Blog And Computer Repair Logos

Hello everyone,

Having a nice business logo is quite important. Professionally designed business logos can cost you up to $1,000.00 or more. I don’t have that kind of money and even if I did I wouldn’t pay that much for a logo. There are many places where you can get a great logo for a very reasonable price (like here). I’m very lucky to have a wife who likes to work with graphics and knows how to use the great free image and photo editing program paint.net.

Now I’m not saying that these logos are better than professionally done logos, I’m just saying that they are certainly good enough for me, that they are free, and that they were designed by my sweet wife:

1) Blog: Randy The Tech Professor Logo

2) Computer Repair Site: Randy The Computer Tech Logo

I would be interested in knowing where y’all get your business logos. How much do you pay? Do you design them yourselves? How important is a business logo?

Professor Randy says: A good logo will attract new customers, uniquely represent your business, and create your brand identity. Take your time, don’t pay too much, and don’t settle for a subpar logo design!

I agree with a lot of what you say here. A good business logo is vital; it’s an investment in your business. I’m impressed with your wife’s ability, and you got a great deal!

We just made a video about this very subject (www.youtu.be/Qz8281f1TTE) and, although it’s tongue-in-cheek, we try to show that there is a difference in today’s crowded marketplace between a logo and a LOGOOOOO…..

It needs to be read quickly, attract customers, and be unique. It’s a representation of YOU to the world.

I used Photoshop to make my LOGO. First I made the text on a FREE graphics generator called cooltext (cooltext.com) and pasted it into Photoshop. With Photoshop I was able to change the aspect ratio, adjust the size and background color, then save it as a jpeg file. It was easy and quick to finish. I realize that not everyone has Photoshop so here is a free program that will do much the same as Photoshop (gimp.org)

I think a logo is important as the customer should remember you when seeing it.

    Thanks for the comment Bob,

Your logos look real cool. My wife has never tried gimp but I’ve read that it’s a bit more difficult than paint.net – what do you think?
Best wishes in your business. Your site looks great!

Logo is most important to run a business; I did the logo using illustrator for my computer repair business.
