Lights, Camera, Action! If you have something to show, teach about, or talk about, you can do just that on your own Internet TV show. It’s called a Video Podcast and today I’m going to show you how to set it up in a few easy steps:
1) Get/Use a great consumer grade camcorder (I recommend the Canon Vixia HV40).
2) Get/Use great video editing software (for Mac: Final Cut Pro or iMovie, for PC: Adobe Premiere Elements).
3) Get/Use great audio (BeachTek Professional Audio Adapter – the BeachTek allows you to hook up a great mic to your camcorder).
4) Get/Use a great unidirectional microphone (Shure SM58L is awesome – hooks into the BeachTek Adapter).
5) Get/Use some good earbuds to monitor your audio as you record (Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones).
6) Get your video into your computer and edit it (Canon HV40 MiniDV tapes are easy to edit).
7) Get your own website and embed your edited video into your website web page.
8) Get a YouTube Channel and upload your videos there also.
Professor Randy says: That’s it! If you know your “stuff” and your video/audio is of good quality, you’ll soon be an Internet Video Star!
